Escape to the heart of the Scottish Borders with a stay at Riverside Cabin in Ettrickbridge – a well appointed self-catering cabin nestled beside the gentle Ettrick Water. Surrounded by rolling hills, ancient woodlands and abundant wildlife, this peaceful riverside setting is the perfect destination for couples, solo travellers or small families looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.

Riverside Cabin is situated on the edge of the pretty village of Ettrickbridge, just a short walk from the welcoming local pub, village tennis court and playing field. Minutes from scenic walking trails, fishing spots and cycling routes. Explore nearby attractions such as Bowhill House & Estate, St Mary’s Loch and the market town of Selkirk – all within easy reach.

The garden has been kept wild for the rich wildlife habitat, with mown pathways, and depending upon the time of the year there are lots of wild flowers, grasses and fruit bushes. You can spot wild orchids, foxgloves, cornflowers, poppies to name a few. Oyster Catchers nest close by in the spring and there is an abundance of local wildlife to spot from roe deer to pinemartins to salmon to kingfishers to red squirrels and otters.

Offering cosy, modern comfort with traditional charm, inside you will find a large open living area with scenic views and comfortable seating, along with a large dining table – ideal for cards, games and studying maps. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are two bedrooms – one double and one twin. There is one bathroom with walk-in shower.

Externally there is a lovely seating area overlooking the water and a picnic table and BBQ set in the wild garden. The perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or evening drinks under the stars.

Please note there are some higgledy steps down to the cottage from the roadside.

“We had a gorgeous week thanks. My 6 year old was in tears leaving! Tried most of the eating recommendations I think and Provender was fabulous. Also would recommend for any future guests the Clay Pigeon shooting at Bisley. Never done it before but Y and I had a great time and kids liked the cafe. Very friendly”… Riverside Cabin guests
